Life for former Navy fighter pilot Alex Dietrich often feels surreal. The 41-year-old mother of three and professor at both George Washington University and the U.S. Naval Academy, became an instant social media celebrity after her appearance on 60 Minutes, where she recounted the strange encounter she had with an unidentified flying object.

Shortly after receiving her wings seventeen years ago, Dietrich took to the skies on a training mission onboard an F/A-18F Super Hornet as pilot and wingman of the Black Aces' now-famous commander David Fravor. What an amazing woman, my hat is always off to folks like that. She is 41 and has already packed 5 lifetimes in.41 years. Great to see someone taking an interest now in her account of the Tic Tac
