A casual bystander couldn't believe his eyes when he saw a flatbed truck slowly roll pass him hauling an unusual load - so he pulled out his mobile phone and took a video. The strange sighting occurred near Plant 42 in Palmdale, California. The Mojave Desert Air Force installation happens to be Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works headquarters and a key development and testing center for almost all the stealth aircraft in current and future use.

The footage of the odd-looking craft hit the ground running. Within minutes of its appearance on TikTok, the video went viral on social media, spawning all manner of suggestions as to what its purpose and origins might be. The online commotion generated by the video inevitably drew the attention of aviation buffs, who upon analyzing the contours of the mystery object, speculated it could be the low-observable fuselage of a new drone or jet fighter.

As more experts chimed in on what it could possibly be, it was revealed that the video was taken at the entrance to Helendale Radar Cross Section Facility, a state-of-the-art, top-secret installation used by Lockheed to test the radar signature of its next-generation airframes. Although this seems to be the most likely explanation, that hasn't stopped UFO theorists from positing that perhaps it is some kind of alien reproduction vehicle in the final stages of development. If that is the case, we highly recommend Lockheed throws a tarp over any future alien cargo they decide to transport on public highways.
