The Pentagon's Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group (AOIMSG) has a newly-minted director. Doctor Sean Kirkpatrick, a PhD in physics and career intelligence officer, will take the leadership of the UFO program in the coming months. Although the Pentagon has yet to confirm the rumor, credible sources indicate Kirkpatrick is the man chosen for the job.

A quick online search hardly returns any info on Dr. Kirkpatrick for obvious reasons. Dr. Sean has spent the majority of his career working on technology and security-related issues at the Defense Department. He's authored more than three dozen scientific papers dealing with a number of subjects ranging from metamaterials and optics, to complex biological systems and their potential use in the defense industry.

More recently, Kirkpatrick was appointed "Deputy Director of Intelligence (DJ2), U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), which is the "unified combatant command" that is responsible for the the nation's nuclear strike forces, as well as the military's Global Information Grid (GIG)." With all of these accolades to his name, there's no doubt the good doctor is more than qualified to tackle the UFO issue. What remains to be seen is whether Kirkpatrick will treat the subject with transparency or continue to breathe life into an entrenched legacy of obfuscation and denial. Hope springs eternal.
