Yesterday, a New Jersey mass UFO sighting nearly paralyzed a highway in the northern part of the state. On Monday, local residents going about their daily commute suddenly noticed a strange, saucer-shaped craft in the sky hovering at a distance. As more motorists became aware of the strange object, they started pulling over to have a second look and take video of what appeared to be a large alien craft. The unidentified object, displaying a glowing, teal-coloured light in the bottom portion of its hull, created such a ruckus, that people were recorded in a state of panic as they wondered if this was the beginning of an extraterrestrial invasion.
Soon after the craft was first spotted, social media was inundated with profanity-laced videos and posts about the apparent cosmic visitor, which people took issue with for barging into our planet unannounced. How rude!
(Un)Fortunately, depending on who you speak with, the mystery mothership had a more earthly origin. It turned out that later that day, the New York Giants were playing at the nearby Met Life Stadium; and the Goodyear Blimp, which people confused for an alien craft, was on its way to the game in full advertising mode.
