While enjoying a romantic getaway in Colorado, a couple claims to have captured footage of the legendary Bigfoot. Shannon and Stetson Parker were on a sightseeing rail tour between Durango and Silverton when they allegedly spotted the creature. The purported Bigfoot was seen wandering the mountainside in broad daylight and was eventually caught on camera taking a rest. Shannon Parker later shared a one-to-two-minute video of the event on Facebook. The couple's claims received both support and skepticism online. Some comments poked fun at the sighting, suggesting the influence of alcohol or questioning the authenticity of the creature. Shannon defended their observation, emphasizing that the figure did not resemble a hunter nor appeared to be carrying any hunting equipment. Notably, this isn't the only Bigfoot sighting this year; there was also a reported sighting in Mississippi's woods.

The debate on Bigfoot's existence has persisted for decades, with various accounts echoing the Parkers' description. Historical references suggest such sightings date back to the 1800s, particularly in the forests of the Pacific Northwest. The University of Arizona has speculated that the folklore might be rooted in Gigantopithecus, an extinct giant ape that once coexisted with early humans. Another theory humorously points out the possibility of it being the musician Saxsquatch, known for his saxophone renditions while dressed as Bigfoot. Regardless of belief, the fascination with Bigfoot continues to captivate many.
