In a remote district of Peru, villagers are living in constant fear of what they claim to be seven-foot-tall extraterrestrial beings. Dubbed "Los Pelacaras" or "The Face Peelers," these purported aliens have reportedly terrorized the Ikitu tribe, resulting in injuries severe enough to require hospitalization. The residents of this isolated settlement in the rural district of Alto Nanay have reported repeated incidents involving these hooded, intimidating figures. In the aftermath of these alleged attacks, the villagers have mobilized, implementing night patrols to safeguard their women, children, and the more vulnerable members of the community. To further bolster their defenses, the Ikitu tribe has requested assistance from the Peruvian military.

Details provided by the community paint a terrifying picture. Descriptions of the alleged assailants include attributes typical of aliens depicted in folklore and popular culture: large heads, yellowish eyes, and apparent invulnerability to traditional weapons. The onslaughts, claimed to be nightly occurrences for the past month, have instilled such fear that many villagers have been unable to sleep. Community leader, Jairo Reátegui Dávila, shared his chilling encounter with one of these beings, describing it as a floating entity with a barely visible face. The reported distance and inaccessibility of the village, however, pose logistical challenges to a swift response from authorities. Despite this, the locals remain hopeful for official support, eager for reprieve from the terror they allege to have endured.
