If you ever wondered what North Koreans think about the whole UFO phenomenon, wonder no more. We just got a glimpse into the state of ufology in the Hermit Kingdom thanks to Hyun-seung Lee, a defector who fled the country in 2014. North Korea News, a website covering the latest events occurring in the Democratic People's Republic, is running a series of interviews with former citizens of the impoverished country trying to get a clear, unfiltered version of life and popular culture under the oppressive dictatorship of Kim Jong-un.

Mr. Hyun-seung Lee, who is now living with his sister in the United States, paints a grim picture of the cultural life of North Korea, which according to him, is almost non-existent, largely in part to a state-run information embargo in the country's media outlets. When it comes to the subject of UFOs in particular, Lee says that "very few people in North...

The Kandahar Giant

The recent turmoil in Afghanistan brings to mind an apocryphal story that gained much popularity back in the mid 2010s. We are referring to the "Giant of Kandahar." Lore has it, in the days of Operation Anaconda, a U.S. military unit hot on the trail of al-Qaeda and Taliban insurgents mysteriously disappeared in the mountainous regions around Kandahar, Afghanistan's second largest city after Kabul.

After failing to establish contact with the missing troops, a special forces detachment was sent on patrol to look for them when they encountered a mythical creature whose existence was, up to that point, only found in the purview of biblical passages and fairy tale narratives.

According to one of the special forces member present during the bizarre encounter, a humongous man, measuring at least twelve to fifteen feet in height with long wild red hair, emerged out of a cave and proceeded to impale one of the...

Footage of desperate Afghans clinging to American military transport airplanes is causing consternation across the world. The Biden's administration decision to pull out of the embattled country was met with severe criticism from both sides of the aisle. On a televised speech to the nation, President Biden justified his course of action as inevitable and necessary in order to protect more American lives from being lost in a war theater spanning two decades.

"I stand squarely behind my decision. After 20 years, I've learned the hard way that there was never a good time to withdraw US forces," The President said during during a speech from the East Room of the White House on Monday afternoon. As American military forces and diplomatic personnel continue to exit the country, Taliban fighters are beginning to occupy key central government offices in Kabul, the Afghan capital.

A former U.S. intelligence officer who goes by the online alias "Añjali" is making waves in ufology circles after making astounding revelations on Reddit about alleged secret meetings held with alien entities at an undisclosed underground base. Although her true identity is yet to be revealed, sources have confirmed the validity of her intelligence community credentials.

On a public statement, it was announced that on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 10:00 am ET, the "Retired Defense Intelligence Officer is hosting a press conference at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC, to announce the formation of a renowned international team of scientists and experts who will join an expedition to an undisclosed subterranean mountain base in the Mojave Desert to meet with extraterrestrials who desire soft disclosure."

The extraordinary claims are attracting the attention...

On August 4, 1990, a remote and nondescript town located in the Scottish Highlands gained world notoriety when it became the stage for one of the most enigmatic and classified UFO sightings in the United Kingdom. As per Ministry of Defense (MoD) declassified records, the main witnesses to the otherworldly encounter were two locals out and about on a summer hike near Calvine, a town in the county of Perthshire.

According to the narrative of the event published in the Scottish Daily Record, the two men were making their way across the sloping hills when they suddenly noticed a large diamond-shaped object in the sky, approximately one hundred feet in length and moving slowly over the countryside. Much to their surprise, the strange object was apparently being followed by Royal Air Force jets, which were observed circling the UFO at a distance.

This would have been yet...

When UFOs Attack II

On a previous thread, we addressed the recurrent myth that interactions with UFOs are always benign by presenting a compelling event of alien aggression entered into the record of US intelligence agencies. Although it is certainly the case that the majority of reported UFO encounters described by civilians are not threatening in nature, the same cannot be said when armed forces personnel get involved and deliberately provoke the phenomenon into a belligerent posture.

Below, we present two interesting incidents where UFOs demonstrated their ability to respond to an act of aggression in kind. Both stories were pulled from the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) archives and have appeared on subsequent works of UFO literature throughout the years.

Case #1...

German citizens are appalled after authorities announced that a Red Cross nurse allegedly administered close to nine thousand fake doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Residents of Friesland - a rural district near the North Sea coast - are being urged by authorities to visit the local medical center to receive an authentic flu injection after the ruse was uncovered.

The nurse in question purportedly switched the COVID doses with a saline solution and injected residents with it all throughout April and May of this year. Police detective Peter Beer, who is investigating the disturbing case, made a public statement confirming that there was "a reasonable suspicion of danger." Further investigations are underway and the nurse is not yet in custody, but apparently she was an outspoken online anti-vaxer.

News of the switcheroo created such an alarm among the residents, that Sven Ambrosy - a...

The battle for hypersonic technology is heating up and the casualties are beginning to mount. The benefits that come from this revolutionary advancement in propulsion systems are such, that global superpowers are willing to risk life and limb in order to obtain it. It should come as no surprise, then, that nation-states are ramping up their intelligence assets abroad to get a glimpse of what their adversaries have accomplished in this strategic area.

Earlier today, we learned that the head of Russia's hypersonic aircraft program has been detained. Professor Alexander Kuranov, a physicist and expert on plasma dynamics, was the leading scientist and designer at St. Petersburg’s State Hypersonic Systems Research Institute before being arrested by the Federal Security Service on high-treason charges. Kuranov, 73, had a long career working on several hypersonic programs for the state since the...

1984 'Fastwalker' Panic

"Fastwalkers," a term coined by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) to classify unidentified flying objects detected by space sensors, has been the subject of much speculation and misinformation. The Fastwalker story began during the early days of the Cold War, when the U.S. placed a series of spy satellites in geosynchronous orbit to detect the launch of Soviet ballistic missiles and track their reentry vehicles.

Frequently, the space-based early warning system - which had an unimpeded field of view from orbit - would observe reflected flashes of sunlight from unknown objects passing through the sensor net moving much too fast to be enemy projectiles, but not fast enough to be cataloged as natural bodies such as meteors or even man-made space debris.

Not bound by conventional orbital mechanics, fastwalkers presented NORAD with an additional level of complexity in their task...

The new defense branch has been tapped by the Pentagon to collect and analyze information on UFOs. Thus far, the Navy's Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force has been doing the lion's share of the work by gathering the pertinent data and providing reports to elected officials, but that's about to change.

By definition, a task force is not a permanent institution but rather a temporary unit formed for the purpose of carrying out a specific operation or mission. With that in mind, the Washington brass is looking to establish a more enduring and well-funded base of operations dedicated to collect intelligence on everything abnormal flying in our skies.

The Space Force, however, is having second thoughts about becoming the X-Files of the Defense Department. Several high-ranking Space Force officials have already expressed their concerns about the public relation's nightmare the nascent...

Ally Murray, from Flagstaff, Arizona, is asking online denizens to help her solve the mystery of a saucer-shaped object that appeared on her backyard. In a TikTok video gone viral, Ally is seen standing next to the metal artifact as she makes an appeal to the conspiracy community of the popular app to take notice of the disc lying in her property:

If anybody from Conspiracy TikTok is here, I think it'd be interested in the UFO I just found in my backyard.

Although Ally is almost convinced the object is not of alien origin, she's skeptic of the possibility that it could be part of a fallen satellite:

Okay I know for a fact that it's not a UFO but I would assume that it's a UFO than a satellite, so TikTok help me out.

On a second video, she takes a closer look inside the strange object, which has several openings and is filled...

DEFIS to Fight Online Conspiracies

In a rather provocative tweet posted back in January of this year, Europe's Defense Industry & Space agency (DEFIS) announced a plan to wage war against online conspiracies of all kinds. Fringe topics that went on the agency's black list include flat-earth, aliens, and UFOs. According to the bellicose arm of the European Commission, these subjects threaten the stability of society by injecting false narratives into mainstream and must be eliminated for the benefit of mankind.

Critics of this new policy are already questioning whether DEFIS should position itself as the sole arbiter of what...

The Intelligence Authorization Act for fiscal year 2022 for intelligence-related activities of the United States Government is fresh out of the printing press and it includes more funding and responsibilities for the newly-created Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF).

SEC 345 is of particular interest to us since it goes over the assigned duties and requirements the UAPTF is expected to meet in 2022. In the bill, the UAP task force is mandated to submit a quarterly report to members of Congress regarding all UFO activities and events occurring every 3 months. All intelligence and defense agencies are also instructed to liaise with the UAPTF and turn over their UFO data for further study.

Most surprising of all is that a new player in the government's official UFO investigative arm is identified in the document. According to section 345, the National Air and Space...

In a recent interview with Luis Elizondo, noted UFO researcher Richard Dolan asked the former AATIP director about the existence of a secret group called Zodiac, an alleged outfit comprised of high-level government personnel in charge of UFO crashes and retrievals. In his usual demeanor, Mr. Elizondo tacitly assented that he was aware of it but declined to elaborate.

Even though not much time was spent on the topic, the tidbit of information sparked the curiosity of UFO enthusiasts, who immediately flooded Mr. Dolan's inbox with all sorts of questions about the secretive organization.

The root of the Zodiac conspiracy can be traced back to a 3-part article published in UFO Magazine in 1998. On the May-June, September, and December 1998 issues, an author by the name of Greg Halifax wrote about a fictional character named...

Truman Bethurum was just a typical man of his time. Born in 1898, the California native found himself in dire economic and marital straits, a condition that would force him to move to Nevada after divorcing his first wife and having to support his second. Desperate to make ends meet, he managed to land a job in the highway construction business under the harsh climate of the Western state.

Although elated of having some means to keep a roof over his head, he was compelled by the circumstances to leave his home and spouse behind in California. Mr. Truman, being of a somewhat introspective nature, pondered whether destiny had relegated him to an ordinary life of hard labor, loneliness, and overall discontentment. However, unbeknown to him, strange cosmic forces had plans in the works for him.

On a fateful evening in 1952, after a long day or work, Truman decided to climb Mormon Mesa, an...

Concorde's legacy is beginning to take shape in the form of a new aircraft, and is a sight to behold. X-59, an experimental airplane being assembled at Lockheed Martin Skunk Works in California, promises to pierce the sky with barely an audible thump, if any at all. Back in 2018, NASA authorized the production of a Low Boom Flight Demonstrator (LBFD) capable of flying at supersonic speeds over populated areas without shattering windows and making babies cry.

The Advanced Air Vehicles Program and the Integrated Aviation Systems Program, run by the national space agency, is looking to streamline and modernize the future of aviation by designing and testing proof-of-concept vehicles that will make ultrasonic commercial air travel over land a reality. With the X-59, the agency hopes to gauge the public's response to speedy aircraft and their potential disruptive atmospheric effects.

A name you should be aware of. Dr. Davis, a renowned astrophysicist lauded in the intelligence community and NASA for his work on several space exploration missions and defense programs, was a leading scientist on the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) ran by former director Luis Elizondo. Prior to his involvement with AATIP, Davis worked for Bigelow's National Institute for Discovery Science (NIDS), an organization created by the billionaire entrepreneur Robert Bigelow to study UFOs and paranormal activities.

Dr. Davis' stint at Skinwalker Ranch - where most of NIDS research took place - brought him closer to understanding the elusive phenomena manifesting on the spooky spot located on the Uinta Basin in Utah. During his tenure as part of the science team, Davis experienced first-hand the frightening events that are said to occur in the property on a regular basis...

New Zealand's National Archives just released a cache of documents related to UFOs. Out of the 109 files full of historical entries dealing in one way or another with the mysterious subject, one particular report caught our attention. Found in file 29, a compelling case describes a deadly encounter between the Cuban air force and an unidentified flying object.

According to file 29, in March of 1967, the 6947th Security Squadron located at Key West Naval Air Station in Florida, monitored Cuban air defense radar controllers as they detected an unidentified bogey approaching Cuban airspace at an approximate altitude of 10,000 meters (about 33,000 feet) and a speed of roughly 650/mph. Per the document, two Soviet-made MIG-21 jets...

'Jetpack Man' Causes Alarm at LAX

A mysterious individual nicknamed by authorities as "Jetpack Man" was spotted in the vicinity of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) for the fourth time in nearly a year. Reports of the alleged unidentified person strapped to a jet pack flying dangerously close to restricted airspace began circulating in the middle of 2020, when pilots reported the strange interloper to air traffic control.

The incident caused such a commotion at LAX, that the FBI was called in to look into the matter. A preliminary report by the federal investigative agency concluded that it was highly unlikely that the sightings involved an actual person.

Kristi Johnson, the FBI assistant director in charge of the Los Angeles Field Office, proposed alternative hypotheses for the sightings during a press conference that ranged from a balloon resembling "a jet pack or person," to "a drone designed to look like a jet pack or person."

Although she's not...
